The Singapore Institute of Technology's western campus at Punggol (SIT Campus Heart), designed by WOHA, is conceived as a 'Campus-in-a-Park' - academic blocks arranged around an existing secondary forest, with naturally ventilated communal spaces, publicly accessible ground planes, and rooftop photovoltaics feeding a campus microgrid. It is among the most significant institutional projects completed in Singapore in recent years and a defining example of WOHA's biophilic, high-density tropical architecture.
Shiya Creative Studio was engaged as project photographer by WOHA and Singapore Institute of Technology. The commission documented the campus at completion: the interface between forest and facade, the layered communal terraces where students gather, and the passive design moves - shading, cross-ventilation, planted edges - that make the architecture legible in photographs.Client: Singapore Institute of Technology.
