24 August 2020 - Singapore is getting a brand new Apple store in 2020, this will be Apple’s third outlet in town. Located in Marina Bay, the store is in spherical form with an area of 17,000 square feet. It is Apple’s very first store in the world to be sitting on the water. The store will open soon to customers at 2 Bayfront Avenue. Meanwhile, have a first look at the architectural exterior of the store.

Update - On the 8th of September, Apple unwrapped its store at Marina Bay Sands. An all-glass dome structure was revealed, offering a 360 degree view of Marina Bay. Apple designed the store in collaboration with Foster + Partners. Conceptualization began as early as 2013 and the building was completed in early 2020. The spherical design was partly inspired by the Pantheon, a former Roman temple. The structure comprises of 114 pieces of glass, supported by 10 mullions vertically. This will be Apple’s third outlet in Singapore, with an area of 17,000 square feet. The other two stores are at Orchard Road and Jewel Changi Airport. It is also Apple’s very first store in the world to be sitting on the water. The dome can be seen from MBS Promenade, The Promontory and even Merlion Park.
